Along with fit with a unique strategic position, operational effectiveness is widely regarded as a key to competitive advantage. Along with emerging technologies, however, operations are poised to play a wider role both within and across organizations as a key enabler of new business models, and innovative practices -hence, as a continuous source of competitive advantage. The aim of this conference is to explore the opportunities and challenges for operations management as a change agent for organizations. The conference program will include contributions from both academics and practitioners for the advancement of the field of operations management.

Doctoral Seminar
The Doctoral Seminar will be held on 25-27 June 2004 immediately prior to the Conference. The Seminar will provide the doctoral students with a forum to present their research and receive feedback from fellow students and senior researchers in the field.
