SCOPE
The interest in frequency assignment problems has grown up in the last decade due to the rapid development of new wireless services and to the relatively scarce radio spectrum. Many variants of frequency assignment problems have been studied in the literature using a variety of different techniques, including graph theory and combinatorics, simulated annealing, genetic algorithms, tabu search, and neural networks.
This workshop is intended to cover contributions in all these areas.
In particular, it aims at bringing together scientists, engineers, and practitioners of the field in order to discuss fundamental challenges, to report state-of-the-art and in-progress research, and to identify future perspectives.
PAPER SUBMISSION
People wishing to contribute should send a two-page abstract by September 18, 2005. Guidelines on the submission procedure can be found at the workshop Web site.
Copies of the abstracts of the presentations will be distributed during the workshop.
