INFORMS BOARD OF DIRECTORS TAKES OFFICE (January 31, 2001)

James C. Bean is the new President of INFORMS. Dr. Bean is the Associate Dean for Graduate Education, College of Engineering, University of Michigan Ann Arbor. He served as the Ford Motor Company Co-Director of the Tauber Manufacturing Institute at the University of Michigan from 1993-1999. He is the founder of the Engineering Global Leadership Honors Program, which he served from 1992-1999. Dr. Bean received his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Stanford University in 1980.

The Executive Director of INFORMS is Mark Doherty . Mr. Doherty joined INFORMS in 1998.
