WASHINGTON, DC, October 7, 2008 – Seeking new policy tools to tackle major problems in energy and the environment will be the subject of a major speech and panel held three weeks before the U.S. Presidential election at the annual meeting of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS®).
The entire series, “Doing Good with Good O.R.” (operations research) will take place in Washington, D.C. at the Marriott Waldman Park Hotel and Omni Shoreham Hotel. It will be held on October 14 and 15. Information is at www.informs.org.
The plenary speaker for the session on energy and the environment is former U.S. Rep. Philip R. Sharp of the think tank Resources for the Future.
