New research suggests different models of airplane seating can minimize the risk of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) transmission while also maximizing the number of passengers.

Pfizer and Moderna aren’t the only vaccine money-makers. Much of the revenue and profits from Covid-19 vaccines are flowing behind the scenes, going to the contract manufacturers and clinical-trial organizers that turn the shots from lab-bench theory to mass-produced reality.

The transport of people and goods changed drastically due to the pandemic. The question remains, however, if it will remain changed and, if so, in what ways.

Developing the vaccines was a gamble for the all the companies that tried, even with most drug makers accepting government grands.
