OR/MS Tomorrow Mini Poster Competition 2022

Share your research idea with the world on one page!

Following the 2020 and 2021 successes, the OR/MS Tomorrow mini poster competition is coming back! This competition seeks to nurture student researchers in developing the skills to summarize and articulate their research ideas effectively and efficiently. Thanks to the generous support from the Seth Bonder Foundation, OR/MS Tomorrow is running the 2022 mini poster competition for another year!

The competition is open to all students, including current INFORMS members and non-members. Candidates are required to design one letter-sized page to communicate their research topic to the broader audience in the OR/MS community. We accept submissions in three groups: undergraduate, master, and Ph.D. students. Winners will be chosen from each group based on the novelty of the topic, maturity of the content, quality of the information, engagement, and aesthetics. In addition to cash prizes, the first-place winning posters will be published in the OR/MS Tomorrow Fall/Winter 2022 issue. All winners will receive an electronic certificate celebrating their achievements.

Submission Deadline: ET 11:59 pm October 30th, 2022.

Submission Form: https://forms.gle/YqX7btJGDYGECbaN6

Submission requirements:

  • The mini poster must be original.
  • The author must be a student at the time of submission and provide a letter from the advisor or a certificate of current enrollment to indicate their enrollment as an undergraduate/master/Ph.D. student.

  • Master and Ph.D. students must submit only one-author posters. Collaborators or advisors can be acknowledged at the end of the form.
  • The submissions are limited to one poster per student or group of students.
  • The poster must be submitted as a PDF file with a minimum font size of 12 pt. Portrait orientation is preferred.

  • The first-place winner in each group will receive $200 in cash, and their poster will be featured in the Fall/Winter 2022 issue of OR/MS Tomorrow.
  • The second-place winner in each group will receive $100 in cash.
  • Honorable mention in each group will receive $50 in cash.
